Brookite


Brookite occurs in the alpine clefts of the Polar Ural as pretty large tabular crystals, the visible one is over 5cm.
These crystals are rarely without damage. this is not (only) the result of some not too carefull mineral dealers,
but the damage is mostly caused by ice in the cleft. This one is from Dodo.


Totally different in appearance is the pseudo octahedral brookite from the Murun massif.
