Hematite

The hexagonal tabular habit of Hematite is well known from the Alps. No surprise it also occurs in the alpine paragenese
of the polar Ural. This specimen is from Dodo.

Blue Iridiscent Hematite crystals on clear Gypsum from the Mayskaya coal mine, Shakhty. These minerals where formed
by the destruction of pyrite in the coal, during a dump fire.
